Spooky Snacks and Healthy Halloween Treats

Hello Everyone. Happy What I Ate Wednesday!  I am sharing my meals from last Saturday. On this day I attended a doggie birthday party. The party was for Jennifer’s (the RD) dog, Kasper. I hope you enjoy my day. Thank you to Jenn at Peas and Crayons for hosting the WIAW.

Please stop by Jenmi Jenmi on Saturday the 20th; we are having a Recipe Swap Blog Party in honor of our 200th post. (Invitation)

This is what I ate:

Breakfast (6:30am)

I started the day with coffee and a egg baked with Boursin cheese.

Lunch (11:30pm)

We had lunch at Kasper’s birthday party. The dogs we so excited, I never got a good picture of them. So I am sharing a photo from a previous party. We had lasagna, broccoli salad and a wonderful sandwich. To drink we had homemade strawberry lemonade. For dessert we all had cupcakes from Sprinkles. I had a cinnamon cupcake, which was super tasty. And the dogs had Sprinkles “doggie cupcakes” and they polished them off. :-)

Dinner (6:30pm)

For Dinner, we tried a new restaurant The Burger Parlor in Fullerton. I had the Burger Bowl, a salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, bacon with blue cheese dressing topped with a burger. My husband and I shared baked potato fries topped with sour cream and scallions. We have found our new favorite burger place.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope your day was full of healthy meals!

  1. We also celebrate our dog’s birthday at home so it’s so cool that others do too. I’m a bit jealous of the sprinkles cupcakes, I’ve always wanted to try them but last time I was in NY they hadn’t yet openend a store and I’ve never been to LA or any of the other places where they have stores. I hear the doggie cupcakes are delicious though ;)

Just a quick question about the recipe swap, if I wanted to share more than one recipe, would that also be ok? I’d just send you two links. I’m hoping to do it today or tomorrow since I’m at home anyways!
    Happy WIAW!

Happy WIAW! Does your dog get excited about his party? Kasper and my dog were sooo excited. It was very cute! We are lucky to have Sprinkle!
We would love for you to share more than one recipe. :-)

  2. The party looks like such fun! Baked potato fries…wonder how they make those?

  3. What a fun doggie party! I could so go for a cupcake right about now :)

  4. I am very tempted to make some of those baked potato fries, they look great. I bet they would work well with sweet pots too. :)

  5. That doggie birthday is so cute! I’ve seen on Meals and Moves and Spoonful of Sugar Free where they make peanut butter and banana birthday cakes. That would be awesome!

And you guys always find the coolest restaurants! Your salad and fries look amazing. I bet you’ll be going back soon :)
